Frequently asked questions

Plain answers about what ActionReach does, and what it does not.

Questions and answers

What does ActionReach Zambia do?

ActionReach helps children who are missed by essential services overcome barriers to legal identity, health and nutrition, education and protection. It works with families and responsible providers and follows agreed actions through to verified progress.

Does ActionReach provide health care or run schools?

ActionReach is not a parallel health, education or statutory protection provider. It helps children access the services delivered by responsible institutions and tracks whether agreed actions are completed.

Does a child need a birth certificate to receive support?

No. Birth registration is a signature entry point, but Lifeline provides an alternative route for children whose urgent or unmet needs are identified first. Lack of documentation must not delay urgent health care or safeguarding action.

Is support conditional on religious participation?

No. ActionReach’s Christian faith motivates its service, but assistance is provided on the basis of need. Religious participation is voluntary and never a condition of support.

How does ActionReach measure impact?

It distinguishes activities and referrals from completed outcomes, uses evidence appropriate to each result and follows up where safe and relevant.

Where does ActionReach work?

The 2026–2031 implementation begins in Kanyama and Chawama in Lusaka District, with expansion planned in stages and subject to readiness, funding, partner arrangements and Board oversight.

How can an organisation partner with ActionReach?

Organisations can contact ActionReach to discuss service coordination, technical support, community engagement, funding, research or other collaboration aligned with the organisation’s mandate and safeguarding standards.
